Absolutely loved the traditional courtyard, but forgot to mention the dirt on the floor as it left my socks filthy. No luggage stand? The floor is just not the place for my designer bags. I almost gave a good review, but the staff failed to upgrade my room as compensation. How rude!

The breakfast in the restaurant was incredible and excellent. The standard queen room we stayed in was attractive with sofa, the bathroom, beautiful decoration. The location was incredible in a great central District and the staff here was good. We truly enjoyed to have lunch at Macau Chinese Restaurant, found it just a short walk away from the hotel...

The hotel boasts a charming traditional courtyard with a peaceful atmosphere, with a lovely pond and even a resident cat. The rooms are clean and tastefully decorated, and I particularly enjoyed the remote-controlled toilet-it's definitely a unique touch.
The accessibility could use some work. The narrow lanes make it tricky to navigate with any sort of baggage, especially with kids. Breakfast was a bit of a letdown, with items running out before the end of the serving time, and the lack of a luggage stand made it inconvenient to manage bags. Plus, while the decor is pleasing, some rooms would definitely benefit from a fresh coat of paint and new curtains, as they seemed a bit outdated.

A beautiful courtyard hotel with true chinese design. Very courteous.
Breakfast was inadeguate. Problem: taxis often refuse to drive in the narrow street of the hutong where the hotel is located.

It was just a great match for a fleeting trip in Beijing with excellent value. The hotel staff brought us cold beers to our room every afternoon, a nice treat after a long day. Try to arrive early for breakfast to ensure you get the best selection before it runs out.

It was in teh hutong area. Was a great "Beijing" expereince to stay in the hutong area. Loved the staff. Loved the rooms (though plumbing was a bit dodgy). Loved coming home to a serene, calm quiet oasis in the midst of a hectic chaotic city. Breakfast was a highlight. Beers in the courtyard and on the rooftop terrace were a highlight also.

We had a lovely stay with our family, especially enjoying the comfy bathrobes and the kettle that kept our drinks warm during chilly nights. The beautiful garden area was a perfect spot for the kids to play while we relaxed nearby. The only little hiccup was that the room colors took some getting used to, but overall, it was a great experience! 😄

Staff was great. Hotel was clean and neat. Don't be put off by the Hutong street access - gives a wonderful Peiking flavor.
